Friends who know me well enough won’t believe what I’m going to say and admit right now. I have been long known to be a hardened skeptic - believer only of cold hard facts. But believe you me. I really do think there is a ghost in our house, or at least some supernatural beings or something in that category. Unless my wife’s cellphone has a mind of its own… and decides to dial itself.
The house we rented and lived in since our marriage last year - is old. Not rickety old, but old. But it has a garage, a big gate, a large living room, with a rather high ceiling, and three bedrooms upstairs. I also had my own sort of office and library there, and the rent is affordable. Two or three of my relatives, however, when they got the chance to be there commented that - the house is haunted. My sister, Lyndee already had some rather scary experience last year - with her cellphone. One night she was awakened by a call from her friend. My sister was asked why was she calling him. She told him, "no", she did not call him. She was in fact sleeping - how could she have called. But when she checked the call register - her cellphone indeed dialed the friend's number. I have forgotten about that incident - in fact dismissed it as nothing more than presposterous - until today. (more…)
